Studio Manager

We are seeking a highly organized Studio Manager with experience in managing a production and post production facility. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire facility, including liaising with client and vendors, working with accounting to ensure the timely management of AP/AR, and working with engineer to ensure that equipment is in good working order. This person will have experience working on set, technical specifications for project delivery, facility scheduling, client relations and providing reporting to finance and operations executives. 

Job Functions

  • Manage the scheduling and booking of all production, podcast, and post-production spaces within the facility.

  • Responsible for production and post-production facility move-in and move-outs and ensuring all necessary equipment and systems are in working order before and after use.

  • Manage equipment check out/in process.

  • Resolve conflicting requests by understanding priorities based on delivery deadlines

  • Act as a liaison between productions, facility team, and OBB Media to support external and internal production team’s needs.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to create an amazing experience for productions

  • Support the team in the management of facility improvements and any construction projects.

  • Ensure and implement safety protocols within facility

  • Propose and oversee technical and aesthetic upgrades to the facility.

  • Work with OBB’s marketing and public relations team to create attractive and effective marketing materials.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in entertainment-specific operational and facilities management in a senior position.

  • Very knowledgeable with camera equipment. Background in camera department is a plus.

  • Strong familiarity with a broad range of post-production and podcast software and equipment.

  • Experience with TPN requirements a strong plus.

  • A solution-oriented mindset, strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously in a face-paced environment.

  • Comfortable engaging with Executives, Supervisors, Leads, and Artists.

  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and respond accordingly.

  • Strong verbal and written communicator who can build strong working relationships with vendors, and internal and external partners.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive).

  • AirTable experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production, podcast and post-production processes and equipment.
