Daniel Chavez Crook
Audio Engineer & Editor, OBB Sound
Daniel is an Audio Engineer & Editor at OBB Sound where he records, edits, and mixes podcasts and audio projects.
He attended the California Institute of the Arts, majoring in Music Technology, after deciding to pursue a career led by his passion for music. His first introduction to the industry was during his internship for Emmy-nominated television composer Kevin Kiner, where he experienced all stages of composing for TV. After graduating from CalArts, he started his career as a freelance voiceover assistant engineer and dialogue editor working on triple-A video game titles such as The Last of Us Part II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and more. He then explored other facets of the music industry. While working his 9-5, he continued his passion for music and audio editing, creating the music and sound design for independent animated shorts, podcasts, and projects for Adult Swim, Netflix Film Club, GIPHY and others.
When not at work, he can be found playing shows around Los Angeles with his three bands, getting up at 6am to watch English football, or spending quality time at home with his dog Bowie and his synthesizers.
