Elias Tanner

Elias Tanner is the Vice President of Strategy & Development at OBB Media where he oversees the intersection of corporate strategy, new business development, brand marketing, and communications.

Over the better part of the last decade Elias has been a part of OBB Media's growth — working in development, production, strategic growth, and brand at various points — on the company's path to becoming a 360 multimedia studio. Today, in addition to his ongoing work in development, Elias works with OBB's senior leadership team to lead growth strategy and new vertical development, with a particular focus on the company's production studio, OBB Studios. Previously, Elias launched and ran OBB's award-winning podcast company, OBB Sound, developed and produced a diversified television, film, and digital slate as the VP of Scripted Development, and worked alongside the Ratner's in overseeing OBB's brand. During his time at OBB Elias was named a member of The Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2020.

Prior to joining the industry, Elias spent a few year stint as an evil corporate lackey in New York, working at the country’s top strategic corp comms and management firm, Joele Frank, where he focused on corporate crisis management. Thankfully, the prodigal son eventually returned to his rightful place in the world, moving to LA and joining OBB.

Originally hailing from Philadelphia, Elias has studied and worked all over the world, including the University of Pennsylvania, the London School of Economics, the University of Cape Town, and Beijing University. If Elias isn’t pursuing his devotion to film, television, and podcasts he can be found running through the Italian market, shadowboxing a frozen veal flank, or crushing a quick dozen cannoli for breakfast.
