James Rowe

President of Bolded

James Rowe is the President of Bolded, OBB Media’s Branded Entertainment and Content Studio, designed to connect brands with audiences through entertainment properties and culture-first storytelling. James focuses on leading the Bolded studio and New York office, including the overarching business strategy for Bolded, as well as partnering with brands on entertainment & content opportunities across the OBB portfolio, including Fanatics Studios.

Since taking up his role, Bolded has worked with a range of clients, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Chase, Fanatics, Apple, L'Oreal, CashApp, rhode, and Skims, creating entertainment-first properties that people genuinely anticipate, engage with and share.

Prior to taking up his role at Bolded, James was at renowned creative agency adam&eveDDB in London & New York for over 13 years where he built the agency’s US presence from the ground up. Under his leadership, the agency won high-profile accounts including JetBlue, Peloton, Molson Coors, Disney, and NBA2K. The agency also saw multiple Cannes Lions, Effies, and One Show wins, including an Emmy nomination for Disney’s holiday campaign - The Boy & The Octopus. James has been featured in a wide array of publications, including AdAge, AdWeek, Campaign, LinkInBio, and Breaking & Entering.

James hails from London, and enjoys playing football (or, soccer), golf and taking to the mountains to snowboard. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Caroline, and daughter, Leila.
