Scott Ratner
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Scott Ratner co-founded OBB Media while still practicing as a corporate attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. In 2016 Scott moved to Los Angeles where he has acted as Chief Operating Officer, managing OBB’s day to day operations in addition to overseeing the company’s finance and legal departments.
In his role as COO, Scott manages high level negotiations with financiers and distributors, talent and brand partners, and oversees all of OBB’s individual projects across the OBB Pictures, OBB Sound, and OBB branded divisions. Scott has been instrumental in building out the OBB Sound podcast division, launching a wide variety of projects in both the unscripted and scripted spaces, in addition to serving as an executive producer on all of OBB’s film and TV projects.
In his previous life as a Wall Street lawyer, Scott represented Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, and securities law. Prior to law school, he worked in digital media at Warner Music Group. Scott, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Fordham Law School, is a hip hop enthusiast and lifelong pro wrestling fan. He was named as one of Hollywood’s top negotiators in Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report 2020.
