Simone Spira
Executive, Unscripted Development & Production
Simone Spira is an Unscripted Development and Production Executive at OBB Media where she oversees and produces unscripted projects across all stages of development and production, with a special emphasis on live and live-to-tape specials. In October, Variety named Spira as one of Hollywood’s New Leaders of 2024.
Most recently, in partnership with Sabrina Carpenter, she developed, sold, and is executive producing the upcoming Sabrina Carpenter variety holiday special, “A Nonsense Christmas,” set to release on Netflix December 2024. Also this year, she served as an executive producer on OBB’s live stream of the iHeartRadio Music Festival for Hulu which featured The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and many more, in addition to executive producing the upcoming renewal of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball TV Special for ABC/Hulu.
Previously, for OBB, Spira served as an executive producer for Hailey Bieber’s flagship talkshow “Who’s in my Bathroom?” and co-executive produced Kevin Hart’s “Cold as Balls,” which have seen billions of views collectively, in addition to executive producing Demi Lovato’s holiday special for Roku, which went #1 on platform. Additionally, she executive produced the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball primetime TV Special for ABC and Hulu in 2023, which featured Cher, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and many more, and was the no. 1 social entertainment program that night with nearly 10 million viewers – the highest total viewer delivery since the special was first televised in 2013.
Spira started her career as a talent intern at Conan O’Brien Presents: Team Coco where she stocked Conan’s mini fridge with coca-cola and yogurt, and she never felt more alive. That feeling was less about the snacks and more about what it meant to be part of the immersive world of live-to-tape television, a feeling she’s been chasing ever since. Since then, she’s produced more than 300 talk show segments for various hosts like David Letterman, Steve Harvey, Lilly Singh, Cardi B, and eventually Kevin Hart and Hailey Bieber at OBB Media. In 2022, she became a full-time producer at OBB, a known leading disruptor in Hollywood.
Simone earned her BA in English and Theatre from Bucknell University. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Simone has spent most of her life sitting in traffic on the 405.
