OVERVIEW:

OBB is a multimedia production company specializing in TV, digital, film, podcasts, branded content and social good. We are seeking a full time multi-faceted video editor to work across various projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is an experienced short-form editor with a great sense of comedic timing and understanding of hitting dramatic beats, is an eager self-starter and can handle their own prep work, color correction, and sound mixing. Additionally, experience working with high profile talent and brands in both the commercial and digital sphere is a huge plus. The right person must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, adaptable to fast turnarounds and/or sudden schedule changes, and comfortable working collaboratively with creative stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Owning all aspects of the editorial process, from sync and assembly to color grading and sound mixing.
Working cross-functionally with all departments to deliver high quality video content for OBB Media and its partners.
Working collaboratively with the Post Production team to help develop and continually improve post production workflows.
Working directly with creative stakeholders and executives to ideate and execute the best possible product.
Experience cutting down and versioning out social media assets to multiple aspect ratios.
Flexibility to support additional projects as needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

3+ years professional editing experience with high proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, advanced proficiency is a plus.
2+ years of experience short-form editing, experience with YouTube is a plus.
Ability to adapt and remain flexible to ever changing project demands and delivery timelines.
Familiarity with video encoding for delivery to digital platforms with an ability to troubleshoot as needed.
Solutions oriented self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, take critique well and anticipate potential adjustments.
Comfort with After Effects, Photoshop, and Maxon Universe (Red Giant).
Avid Media Composer experience, a plus.
Experience with motion graphics, a plus.
Social media savviness and peripheral knowledge of trending pop culture, a plus.
Experience editing and delivering for A-plus talent and brands as well as premium distributors, a plus.

This is an exempt hybrid role with 2-3 on-site days weekly and additional on-site days as needed based upon project timeline. The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $85,000 to $100,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the final candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
